This 1840s Gothic Revival home came to us in excellent condition, with many original details – including weight and chain Gothic Revival windows – intact. Located on a quaint Brooklyn Heights Place, the home is a living relic of times past. Our goal was to update the interior layout while paying respect to the building's history.

Upgraded, double-loaded kitchen with a small island, blue countertops, and interesting semi-flush light fixtures in a Brooklyn Heights home — The original kitchen was cramped to the point of being dysfunctional. By reinforcing parlor floor joists, we were able to accommodate a modern kitchen with plenty of space. We relocated the ceiling moldings, floor borders, and French door to preserve the historic details.
