Creative Walls at the Brooklyn Preschool of Science

Working with the highly energetic Carmelo the Science Fellow, we designed this new preschool in a challenging garden-level space in Cobble Hill.

In order to make the space, which was primarily below grade, fun and exciting for students, we made each and every wall as exciting as possible. Classroom walls of different colors, a living wall on the inside of one classroom, an LED-lit rainbow rotunda, murals, and student artwork give the school a life of its own.

The design's crown jewels - a rainbow wall and a green planted wall - give the long but narrow space a sense of scale and proportion infused with wonder and nature.
